Tokyo / Akita / Kakunodate / Lake Tazawa / Oshuku (Lunch, Dinner)
Upon arrival in Tokyo, transfer to Haneda Airport for your domestic flight to Akita. Proceed to Kakunodate, which is flourished as a castle town and it offers one of Japan's most beautifully preserved former samurai districts. You'll then journey to Lake Tazawa, the deepest lake in Japan at 423 meters. It is well-known for the beauty of its seasonal changes. Thereafter, travel to Oshuku then check in hotel for a well deserved rest.

Koiwai Farm / Chusonji / Matsushima (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, you'll visit the Koiwai Farm, located at the foot of beautiful Mt. Iwate and is the largest privately-operated farm in Japan. Move on to Hiraizumi's most famous temple, Chusonji was established in 850 as a Tendai temple. Then proceed to Matsushima to visit the Zuiganji, Tohoku's most famous Zen temple which is well known for its beautifully painted sliding doors. Next is the Godaido, a small temple hall on an islet just next to the pier. Lastly at Matsushima Bay, you'll embark on a boat cruise to enjoy the bay. The bay has been celebrated as one of Japan's three most scenic views and is dotted by over 200 small islands covered by pine trees.

Sendai / Aizu Wakamatsu / Mt. Iimori / Kitakata (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, we'll travel to Aizu Wakamatsu. You'll visit the Tsuruga Castle, the strongest and oldest fortress in all of Tohoku. Next is the Aizu Samurai Residence Complex, designated as an important cultural property of the prefecture. The tearoom, rice-cleaning mill and other items are display in this magnificent museum. This large manor gives a wonderful idea of how samurai lived during the Edo Period. Then visit the Aizu Sake Brewery Museum. This museum is dedicated to sake brewing utensils and equipment. You'll then journey to Mt. Iimori, where the teenaged samurai members of the Byakko-tai (White Tiger Band) committed heroic suicide during 1868. After which proceed to Kitakata, a town with over 2,600 old brick and whitewash storehouses. You'll visit the Kitakata Ramen Museum which houses a mini ramen noodle factory, ramen information corner as well as a corner selling a variety of local specialties. Move on to visit the Mt. Bandai Eruption Memorial Museum. It contains priceless contemporary photographs, example of the eruption and a special ‘3D World' facility.

Goshikinuma / Lake Inawashiro / Nikko (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, proceed to Goshikinuma which comprises of five marshes and each having a water colour of its own. Then make a stop at Lake Inawashiro, Japan's fourth largest lake. After which, move on to Nikko National Park and visit the Toshogun Shrine. Our next stop is Lake Chuzenji, a beautiful lake with forested shores at the foot of the sacred volcano Mt. Nantai.

Kinugawa / Tokyo (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, we'll board the Tsukuba Express train to Akihabara Station. Thereafter proceed to Ginza, most famous upmarket shopping, dinning and entertainment district in Tokyo. After which, visit the popular Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo which is also famous for its huge red lantern on the Kaminarimon. Not to be missed is definitely a walk along Nakamise Shopping Street where one will find a jam-packed selection of souvenirs and traditional Japanese snacks.
